With over 30 years’ experience in the PR industry, cutting her teeth in entertainment publicity for ITV and the BBC before moving into the leisure, lifestyle and food sectors, Rachel is passionate about the value that strategic communications brings to businesses.  Strong writing, storytelling, and just good old-fashioned perseverance, as well as an acute attention to detail continue to be the backbone of her career. She founded Silver Pear in 2020 and is committed to creating brilliant PR people to future proof the profession.

Work Fuel:
  • Intravenous coffee
  • Actual newspapers and magazines (not digital) – the higher the pile the better
  • Trevor the family black Labrador (only when he’s asleep)
Guilty Pleasures:
  • Frasier – there has been nothing to beat it either before or since.
  • Artisan cheeses from the British Isles
  • Freshly washed bedlinen and a good book, in that order

  • Scouring Rightmove on a daily basis to have a nosy in other people’s houses
