THE LAUNCH OF THE WILDLING APP

The Brief

Silver Pear Communications was brought on board to launch Wildling, a free mobile app to help people find, discover and visit nature on their doorstep, connecting everyone to the great outdoors.​

Wildling was supported by partners including the RSPB, Marine Conservation Society and Forestry England, and backed by advisors and environmentalists Ben Goldsmith (well-known financier and environmentalist), Tim Smit (founder of the Eden Project) and Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden.​

The Approach

With a launch purposefully timed just before the summer holidays, our PR campaign consisted of mid lead outreach to national consumer lifestyle media with a creatively drafted release to grab the attention of this pool of media.​

Further national outreach followed with a research backed release, and an additional tailored one for key regions across the country.​

We also utilised the celebrity pull of the advisors to set up national and regional interviews in top quality press.​
